Kitchen Table Centerpiece Ideas For Everyday
THESE KITCHEN TABLE CENTERPIECE IDEAS FOR EVERYDAY ARE EXTREMELY SIMPLE AND BUDGET-FRIENDLY BUT ALSO MAKE A BIG IMPACT!
Having a pretty centerpiece on your table is an easy way to brighten up your space. A bare table is just sad! There’s no need to save table decorations for special occasions!
Vintage Inspired Table Centerpiece Ideas
Around here, I like to mix in vintage items where ever I can. Having them as the focal point of my dining table makes me happy. This old Cracker Jack tin is a favorite find of mine and is so cheerful complemented with yellow flowers.
I love old crocks in graduated sizes on my table. For a large centerpiece use larger crocks filled with tall branches.
One rule of thumb interior designers swear by is grouping in 3’s. To have a more collected look, a group of three items in the center of the table will have more impact than a single item.
These two vintage vessels aligned down the center of the table below are really beautiful. It contrasts with the grouping of three I just mentioned above but these two matching vases make a stunning centerpiece display.
Kitchen table centerpiece Ideas For Everyday Using baskets
Nothing is cozier than baskets in the home. As a bonus, they also bring in texture. Baskets are also great for use as decorative trays.
Make a display with one by grouping a few items at different heights. Use natural elements for an organic feel. (For a different take on this idea, swap out the basket for a dough bowl instead.)
Never underestimate the power of simple white dishes for your kitchen! They’re perfect for everyday dining table decor because you can layer in bits of color or seasonal items to keep it interesting.
Or just fill one round basket to the brim with a mixture of flowers. This would look especially good on a round table.
Kitchen centerpiece Ideas Using Food
In any kitchen, space can be limited but especially smaller kitchens such as mine. For that reason, I always like decorative items in the kitchen to also be functional.
Using bowls, trays, or dishes to display your fruits and vegetables not only looks pretty but is great for everyday use.
A fruit bowl filled with one type of fruit is a nice way to add a pop of color as well!
Filling a big white bowl with seasonal veggies from the garden makes a beautiful display! Veggies can be sculptural on their own, such as this squash.
A tiered tray is useful because it can hold more storage in less space!
serve ware centerpieces
Speaking of tiered trays, having an interesting piece of serveware can make a beautiful centerpiece on its own. Don’t underestimate the power of a lovely piece to stand alone.
One example is this gorgeous stoneware bowl. Use it on its own or filled with fruit.
This blue and white platter is a stunning piece. I imagine a small vase or two (such as bud vases) on this for an even more simple centerpiece.
You can’t go wrong with two simple white pitchers in graduated sizes. Keep them empty or filled with seasonal flowers or branches. It’s an easy way to get a fresh look often!
Plus they can be easily removed from your dinner table when you need the space for food. All of these are a good option in kitchens with limited space.
simple centerpieces with candles for everyday
Of course we can’t talk centerpieces without mentioning candles. A few simple candles arranged on your table can stand alone as table decoration.
Or add in some fresh greens, like the eucalyptus shown below with a pretty table runner underneath.
Here I used a vintage candelabra as a centerpiece. Though this was a fall-inspired table setting, this candelabra is absolutely gorgeous by itself!
You can find a very similar candelabra here.
Grouping pillar candles at different heights is a great minimalist idea if you don’t want too much fuss. I do love the added grapevine wreath around this grouping.
Additionally, you could take this same idea and put the candles under a cloche or use a covered dish/cake stand.
Or take things up a notch and make your own floating candles!
Collected Centerpiece ideas For A Lived In Look
Gathering a grouping of different items together really creates a collected, lived in look to any space. Taking the idea to the kitchen table is another way to make a pretty table display.
Below you can again see the grouping of three in the center and how that combination always looks good.
Add a few candles and some fruit into a shallow basket for an instant display that super easy!
Floral arrangement Centerpiece Ideas
Looking for an even more simple centerpiece? Fresh flowers are all you need. You could use faux flowers but natural blooms are always preferable! Occasionally, I’ll use faux when I get tired of my cats eating the real florals!
So when in doubt, fill a vase full of seasonal flowers for a pretty kitchen centerpiece!
This simple glass vase gets a lot of use when I have fresh flowers. The opening is just the right size for a pretty display. Sometimes vases have too wide an opening which means you’ll need way more flowers to make it look full.
For this hydrangea arrangement, I cut the flowers from my yard and then cut one large hosta leaf to wrap around the base of the stems. It adds interest and looks prettier than seeing the stems.
I love a collected look and these different vases running down the center of the table fit the bill. The mix of flowers compliments the whole vibe.
This is a great way to fill a long table if you have a larger kitchen or dining room. It’s also a cute idea to take things up a notch for a dinner party while also keeping it simple.
The most used vase in my house is this plain white pitcher. It’s my quick go-to every time and it lets the flowers take center stage.
I found these orange Dahlias at Trader Joe’s and love the pop of color they bring to the room. They also contrast so nicely with the green vintage plate wall. The color combination has me ready for the fall season! This time of year always has me ready for cooler weather as well as a break from the heat.
The Simple Way TO Keep It Interesting
Real flowers are a great option for bringing in bright colors without any commitment!
I keep a few different vases and vessels put away upstairs. Then, when I feel like I need a change and want to keep things interesting, I can shop that shelf. That helps me to see which vase looks best with whatever flowers I have at the moment.
