Bakeware From Caraway Home
I was recently gifted a new set of bakeware from Caraway Home that I’ve been excited to try. I’m not much of a cook, but I do love to bake!
And I take it very seriously when I do!
When my girls were growing up, I made every themed birthday cake you can imagine. I also made fun treats for every holiday and school occasion that came up.
While I don’t bake as often as I did then, once the fall season comes around, I immediately think about what I can bake up.
My older cookie sheets and bakeware are really in bad shape, so I was more than happy to try out a bakeware set from Caraway Home.
My initial intent for this post was to share a cheese Danish ring recipe. Cheese Danish is one of my husband’s favorite desserts. But whenever we go to the bakeries that carry them, they never have them.
Because my husband couldn’t eat for 3 years (due to Covid, see my Instagram page for that story) I decided I’d create a recipe for him.
I spent weeks researching recipes to come up with something original. When I finally had a free day, I got to work preparing the ingredients.
First, I mixed up the filling and rolled it into puff pastry dough. Next, I topped it with a cinnamon crumb topping and baked it until browned. When it came out of the oven, I drizzled a homemade icing over it.
And for some sad reason, it just didn’t taste good. It also didn’t look that pretty either, lol.
It didn’t taste horrible but it was bland. So bland that after one piece, we tossed it. Obviously, I won’t be sharing that recipe today!
The good news is that the bakeware was great so I decided to give it the ultimate test – cookies!
The only cookie sheets I’ve used for the last 20 years were the air-bake type. Any other cookie sheets always left me with burnt bottoms. But mine were shot and they’re not easy to find anymore.
Honestly, I was a little nervous to try the Caraway cookie sheets because if they came out burnt I’d have to give you guys an honest review even though I was gifted the set.
I made these cookies using the recipe on the back of the Nestle chocolate chip bag. That recipe is excellent, no need to reinvent the wheel.
Once they cooled, I flipped a couple over to check the bottoms.
Thankfully, they were perfectly browned! And you can see I baked them pretty well and the bottoms didn’t burn! Caraway makes great quality products (I also have their cookware set) so I wasn’t really surprised.
Additionally, Caraway products are super easy to clean. Due to the nonstick coating, they easily wipe clean with a soapy sponge. The coating is also non-toxic.
You better believe I’ll be cranking out the holiday cookies this year using this awesome set!
The set I have is called the half-bakeware set. It comes with the four pieces shown as well as an organizer to store them in.
With the holidays fast approaching, this would make an excellent gift idea! It would also be a great wedding present. I’m really happy with it!
Time for a new set of cookware. These look great. Easy to clean and more importantly, non toxic.
Yes, they’re wonderful!
Have you ever tried Italian Ricotta Cheese Cookies
They are my favorite
