Spring Mantel Decorating Ideas

Spring decorating ideas mantel decor

As I’m posting this today, we are getting pounded with snow here in NJ. Last week we had temperatures in the 70’s, today arctic blizzard. March is crazy! As we patiently wait for the warmer temps to stick around for good, let’s talk spring decorating. Today I’m sharing my spring mantel along with some of my blogging friends (see below), ย I really love how it turned out this year. When I started thinking about decorating the mantel for Spring, I realized that I really didn’t have any Easter decorations at all.

Spring Mantel Decorating Ideas The Honeycomb Home

That gave me an excuse to head over to Home Goods to see what they had in the way of Easter decor. I found this adorable moss bunny there. I also picked up a few wooden speckled eggs. Other than those two purchases, I used only what I had around the house. The tall vase next to the bunny was found at an antique store awhile back for only $1. It was rusty (not in the good way) so I gave it a quick coat of spray paint.

My daughter walked in while I was taking the photos of my spring mantel, ย and she was a little confused by the banner on the TV. I always feel like the TV looks like a big black vortex in the middle of my decorations, so I added that little banner for the pictures.

I used my fabric covered books on one side. I need to make more of those because they are so versatile, I use them everywhere.

The speckled eggs are in my rustic flowerpots. The large banner underneath was a DIY project that I made with my Cricut machine. A few tall branches and some baby’s breath made it really feel spring-like.

I hope you’re enjoying this snow day as we peruse over spring mantels :). Love how your mantel came out. I think the banner on your T.V. gives it a nice touch. Not confusing at all ;). Everything came out so pretty!

I love how you added the eggs to the terracotta pots – I’m going to add some of those to my spring decor now too! And that banner – I love it!

I love it, but every one is doing farmhouse style. It’s getting old.

So pretty, LOVE it all! Funny, I saw your thumbnail in the link up and couldn’t wait to click over and see your post because your mantel had me at hello. I didn’t even notice the TV until I read your black vortex comment! The fabric garland must have worked! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks Kim, I agree! I have a second mantel that I picked up at a flea market that will eventually go in my living room and will NOT have a TV above it!

I love the little banner on the TV. My husband keeps hinting that a TV would work perfectly over the mantel. I keep avoiding him because I love being able to decorate it. Way to decorate it anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s beautiful!

Thanks Kati, don’t give in to the TV over the mantel it’s very limiting as far as decorating!

It is so pretty, Roxanne! You cracked me up with the bunting on the TV and your daughter’s comment. I cannot even imagine the grief my husband would give me for that, but my thought was “so cute and smart!”
