7 Ways to Wake Up Your Living Spaces This Winter
Around this time of year, I really start to get cabin fever. Stuck inside of our living spaces without enough sunlight has me craving a change. Between the Christmas greenery and lights gone inside our house and the skies always looking gray outside, everything seems to feel bland.
I’ve been doing a lot of window shopping to see if I could find a few pieces to wake things up a bit around here. February is always a good time to save on home decor between Presidents Day sales and the retailers moving items out to bring in their new spring lines. Here are a few fun items that I came across.
Finding a pillow with a small scale pattern in a neutral color isn’t easy, but this wispy pine pillow is just right. This is a great pillow for layering with others.
New throw pillows are always a quick fix for me when I need to change things up. I just ordered two of these woven pillows for myself. I love the texture, the side ties and the contrasting print under the ties. SO pretty! I had a very hard time deciding between this and another similar pillow with stripes and florals.
A pretty new area rug can instantly brighten up even the dullest of living spaces. This area rug contains fun colors but is still neutral enough to decorate around.
I’ve been on a hunt for a new all-white lamp for my daughter’s room. The shape, size, and texture of this one are exactly what I’ve been looking for.
I’m not usually one for bold or bright colors but this yellow accent table really caught my eye. I think I’m tired of seeing too many all gray interiors. This little table would certainly add a burst of cheer to a room. It looks like a nice mid-tone shade of yellow that wouldn’t be too overpowering.
I have always love floral patterns, especially subtle ones. These pretty floral curtains feel very cottage chic to me.
Useful and pretty, this set of hanging storage baskets come in a variety of colors. You could use these for organizing or pop in a potted plant of a few faux flowers to brighten the room. The possibilities are endless with these.
What do you do around this time of year to brighten things up?
I was hoping for decorating strategies, not a list Of products. Disappointed.
Thank you for the feedback, Martha and I’m sorry you were disappointed. Now that you mention it, I can see how you may have expected something else from the title.
