Outdoor Falloween Decorating
BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR DECORATING IDEAS THAT COMBINE HALLOWEEN DECOR WITH PRETTY FALL ACCENTS FOR A MAGICAL FALLOWEEN SETTING!
Last week I had a fun opportunity to collaborate with my friend Cheryl. She is a fellow antique dealer at the antique shop I sell out of and is a very talented decorator.
We got together to create a “Falloween” (as she called it) setting using a mix of seasonal decor and our antique items in her beautiful backyard.
What is Falloween?
Falloween, we decided, is using Halloween decorations along with prettier fall decor to create a magical, less scary, Fall/Halloween setting.
Pretty amazing, isn’t it?
After photographing this beautiful setting we decided to sell some of the antiques we used for decorating via a pop-up sale on Instagram. Most of the items are available for shipping. You can check out Cheryl’s Instagram at Recycled Relics and Antique Chic and my antique account at Old Home Revivals.
We posted the items for sale over the weekend, but some are still available if you’re interested. We are ending the sale on Halloween and taking the items left down.
In the meantime, I wanted to share the pretty photos that I took here with you guys purely for inspiration!
Outdoor table setting for falloween
We decorated this outdoor room with three different vignettes. The first was the table setting.
Cheryl used her pretty china combined with orange placemats for each place setting. The bottle brush candy corn trees were the perfect little accent.
Those would make really cute party favors for any Halloween parties you may be having.
For the centerpiece, I had this pretty brass candelabra and orange candles that matched her placemats perfectly. Around the candelabra, we scattered mini pumpkins, gourds, and other natural, seasonal decor.
Peeking out of the corner is a set of small brass birds. They bring a little unexpected element to the table. All of these ideas would work well for your Thanksgiving table as well.
outdoor falloween mantel
Cheryl’s outdoor garden room is truly amazing. She has a vintage mantel out there which we had fun with. We tried out several different looks here until we decided on this.
A trio of gold mirrors and a frame were the base of the mantel. We had tried other versions but the gold color on these worked best with everything else.
And I had to include this super cool little vintage Matador statue I found. I used him on my Halloween mantel as well this year.
The grapevine strung across the front is not real and it contains lights. It was the perfect accent here.
Fall-O-Ween vignette
Lastly, was our sideboard area. Cheryl already had the pretty wood table and bench here.
We layered it with a combination of art, servewear, and planters. We accessorized it with fruit such as artichokes and apples to bring in a pop of green.
I pulled this bust head from the antique shop. Busts and portraits are great decor all year but I really like them for Halloween.
And here’s my favorite shot of the day. Cheryl’s yard is truly magical. It’s been put together slowly, over years of antiquing and it shows.
Every area tells a story.
As I mentioned, we’ve extended the weekend Instagram sale through Halloween. There are a few items left, if you’re interested you can check them out via RecycledRelicsandAntiqueChic or OldHomeRevivals.
And if you’re looking for activities to host your own Falloween, check out these fun ideas from the NY Botanical Gardens.
Happy Halloween!
Love this look. Vintage items have so much character.
They really do, I don’t even like to buy new anymore.
Such a beautiful garden display
Yes, it was a fun one!
