Small Spaces Living Room Makeover
This post is in partnership with World Market, a brand that I love, and may contain affiliate links. All opinion here are my own, you can read my full disclosure here.
If you’ve been following along with me this summer, you know that I’ve mentioned a living room makeover several times. I haven’t been able to share it yet. Not because I’m trying to build suspense, but because this has been a collaboration with World Market. They are having a small spaces campaign right now, and I was fortunate to be selected to make over my living room for this campaign.
This is a space I haven’t shared much on the blog. The reason for that is because I was waiting for an all-or-nothing type makeover (hello next One Room Challenge). However, World Market had a deadline I needed to meet so I decided to challenge myself to make over this room without any major construction. In just a few short weeks, this room got a significant overhaul. Here is the design board I put together for the makeover.
And here is a sneak peek of the transformation:
I used the Cameron console table rather than a TV stand under my TV. It looks so much nicer than a traditional TV stand. The macrame baskets fit perfectly underneath and are great for additional storage. The carved wood tribal accent table helps balance out the space. As for the gallery wall, I put that together using things I already had around the house.
To see the full living room makeover including the embarrassing before photos, and my top 5 tricks for styling a small living room (which were all implemented in this space) hop on over to the World Market blog. I’d love for you to stop back here and share your thoughts!
Looks great and you shared some good tips too!
Thanks Mary!
It’s beautiful! That is quite a transformation. Love the pops of color and the I wish I had a couch like that!
Thanks Rachel! I’m usually all-neutral over here but I’m really liking the pops of color too!
Gorgeous job Roxanne! It looks completely different. I love that console and those chairs too btw. 🙂
Thanks Amanda, it’s definitely a major improvement from what it was!
I LOVE the console table that you chose. It has such a light bright final look!
Thanks Morgan, the console table is my favorite!
Love this! Such a beautiful transformation 😉
Hugs, Jamie
Thank you Jamie!
Nice elements, but there are too many items IMO. Edit the small table on the side and some of the things on the wall.
This is so beautiful! I have a small living room too, and decorating it can be difficult sometimes. I can’t get over the fireplace!
Roxanne, Your talent and creativity are endless. Really gorgeous result. I love it!
I love your update and tips! Thanks for sharing @ Vintage Charm!
Absolutely beautiful! Love all the different textures you used and the colour pallet. So pretty.
Thank you Lindsay!
Oh wow, what a gorgeous room! I really love those macrame baskets; they’re perfect for that space!
I just wanted to let you know that you were featured as a Rockstar at last week’s Creativity Unleashed party! Congrats, and thanks for sharing at our party! http://www.practicallyfunctional.com/creativity-unleashed-186
Thank you Jessi!
This space looks so great! I would love to see whether you’ve done anything behind your front door. We have the same entrance like you’re and I’ve been looking for some more inspiration for our. We currently have a mirror and a small cube bench from Bed Bath & beyond, for shoes, winter accessories, and the dog essentials.
Thanks Jessica! The space behind the front door is a tough one, because it’s so small. Here is what I’ve done with mine so far: https://thehoneycombhome.com/painted-front-door-small-change-big-impact/, I do have plans to eventually open that space up a little more.
You did a beautiful job with your living room, Roxanne! I really like the console table you chose, and those baskets underneath are perfect!
Thank you Emily, I’m really happy with how it turned out!
