Tour This Townhouse

Do you want to tour a spotless 2,200 square foot townhouse?

My friend Raquel and her husband, Matthew, recently moved into a new home. She graciously agreed to let me photograph it and share it here on the blog.

Her previous home sold much quicker than expected. Probably because she keeps the cleanest, most clutter-free home I’ve ever seen. Then the house they were originally going to purchase fell through, and they ended up living in a hotel for 2 months! It was really a nightmare moving scenario. It all worked out in the end, though, when they found this amazing townhouse in a great neighborhood. Ready for your tour?

This is her entry foyer.

The amazing antique china cabinet came from an antique store in Syracuse, NY. I love the amazing detail on this piece. She found it online and made the 2+ hour drive to get it.

Her orb chandelier is the real deal from Restoration Hardware. No knock-offs here.

Would you believe the wrought iron coffee table is a yard sale find?? Similar style tables in the high-end stores can sell for over $1,000.

Cherry Cabinets

The living room has on open pass through to the kitchen. The cabinets are cherry and the uppers are 42″.

The traditional master bedroom has 12′ ceilings. I forgot to get a picture of those!

The day I went over to photograph her home, my daughters came with me. When we got back home, they both went to their rooms and immediately started cleaning! This clutter free home really inspired them!

Thanks for touring this townhouse with me and thanks again to Raquel and Matthew for sharing their home with us!

  1. Thank you for sharing your friend’s home – it is beautiful! I kinda feel the need to de-clutter, too!

  2. I just saw you on Rachel Ray and had to check out your site! Wow, very inspirational! I love this townhouse. Especially, the cherry cabinets in the kitchen. I do love the white farmhouse/French country inspiration look, however, I do miss the beauty of a good cherry or other beautiful wood cabinet in the kitchen. I do think this owner had the right idea with her whole townhouse. Thanks for your site. It is a welcome reference!
