Open House Tour

Farm House Tour

My younger daughter and I went to an open house last weekend. It was a spur of the moment thing. We were driving back from a college open house when we saw this open house tour. My daughter mentioned that she had always liked this house, so we stopped in to check it out. I didn’t have any intention on doing a blog post about it. After seeing it, I just had to share it because it was truly amazing!

All the photos are courtesy of the realtors website, you can view the listing on Zillow. The house is set on over an acre and a half of perfectly landscaped grounds. The red barn garage is big enough for two cars with space leftover. Plus there is a second floor above the garage-it would be the most perfect man cave.

The amazing wraparound porch spans three full sides of the house. This picture truly does not do it justice.

I don’t know whats going on with the angle of this photo, but the foyer is amazing. Beadboard walls lead the way up the stairs. Off to the right are two spacious closets, not visible in the photo.

This foyer from above shot is a better angle. You can see the hardwood floors throughout and the hallway off the front door with the closets.

When you enter the front door and walk straight through the foyer you come out to the kitchen. This kitchen, as well as every room in the house is so light and bright with tons of windows.

Right next to the kitchen is the very spacious living room. Tons and tons of windows!

On the other side of the kitchen is the dining room. While I am really not a fan of this wall color, the room was beautiful! French doors opened up to the side porch. Notice the crown molding and ceiling medallion.

Next to the dining room, back in the front of the house was a family room. This room was so serene and peaceful with amazing views of the greenery outside. I imagine four comfy chairs arranged in a circle in this space with an ottoman in the middle.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. This is the master, which features a walk in closet and well as a sliding door closet. And lots of natural light!

The french door you see above, leads out to an enclosed sitting porch only accessed through the master bedroom. Totally dreamy!

The master bath, as well as every other inch of this house, was spotless.

One of the secondary bedrooms had a cool layout. It was kind of divided into two spaces. The front half was set up as an office.

The back part was set up with a sofa bed. Again, so light and bright. Another weird angled pictured doesn’t do it justice.

This third bedroom was very large. I was thinking it felt bigger than the master. That wall you see on the right was an entire wall of closets. There was another set of closets in this room on the wall not shown. Every closet in the house was set up with closet organizers.

This was the upstairs hall bath. Light and bright, amazing tile floor, and beadboard wainscoting, plus a linen closet. There is no shortage of closet space in this house.

There is also a very large basement, complete with a workshop.

The doors you see on the back wall of the basement lead outside to…

An attached greenhouse! I kid you not!

The property is truly serene and beautiful.

one and a half acres

Also not shown is a third floor walk-up attic. Imagine exposed beams and rafters! This is what over a half million dollars in NJ will get you! I’ll leave you with this amazing view from the porch!

  1. This house is fabulous! From the exterior going to the interior, everything is so elegant and beautiful! I love the dining room most for having that red accent.
