Five for Friday Design Picks #72
Happy Friday the 13th! For my occasional Five for Friday posts, I like to share decor inspiration as well as sort of check-in with you guys as far as what I’ve been up to behind the blog over here.
I’ve been very busy with my real estate work the last month or two. If you’ve heard its a seller’s market, it’s absolutely true. Between the historically low interest rates and low housing inventory, the homes that are listed are selling faster than ever, with bidding wars! Which is great if you’re on the seller side, not so great if you’re trying to buy a home!
In addition to real estate, I’ve also been working on an eBook about how to pick paint colors for your home. I’ve taken everything I’ve learned in the last 10 years between design school and real world practice and turned it into a condensed, easy to read short cut for anyone who wants to take the stress out of learning to coordinate colors.
I should have that available within the next few weeks, so be on the lookout for it here! In the meantime, here are my weekend design picks to inspire you (and me)!
This beautiful entry is simple decor done right! Just a few really cool pieces are all you need.
The pop of blue accents are so pretty with the otherwise neutral decor.
When it comes to kitchens, creating a kitchen built-in is very on-trend right now. That is one trend that will stand the test of time.
How pretty is this living and dining room? The white and wood look gets me every time. Even the dog compliments the color scheme, lol.
On Monday, I shared with you guys some ideas for DIY garden trellises. I saw this amazing walkway after that, so I had to throw it in here today. Isn’t this a show stopper? They call it a sweet pea tunnel, those flowers are actually sweet pea plants!
Enjoy your weekend!
Love that sweet pea walk! It wouldn’t work at my home, way too many trees. But it’s nice to see the pretty when we can!
Isn’t that amazing?
Do you know what color of paint they used with the blue piece of furniture built in used in the kitchen above. I love that color!
I’ve got loads of charts in front of me and think that blue looks in the realms of Cadet Blue on the Sanderson colour chart – or a bit lighter version, Whitby Blue which also looks very lovely. I have used Sanderson and it needs more than one coat for sure, but the colours are really beautiful.
I love the other blue very much too here – in the hallway. Wondering what that one is… Would love to know also.
The rug i also think is truly beautiful to me – very serene space created there.
