Coastal Living Beach House-Get This Look
I’ve been obsessed with this room for a while now. It is the Game Room from Coastal Living’s Ultimate Beach House 2012. The house is located in Rosemary Beach, FL. I love the relaxed, yet pulled together feel of this space.
I often rotate my screen savers with different inspirational rooms I love, but this one has been up for months now. Today I thought I’d break it down and show you how this look could be recreated in your home.
The large ottoman shown is from Ballard Designs, how beautiful is that?! The small ottoman is from Target. The pillow cover in “chipper” fabric is from Etsy. Picture frames from Bed Bath & Beyond. The round end table is from RBGHomestore.com. Recently, Home Goods had similar, more affordable round tables. The console table is from Western Passion. The Pier 1 glass lamp shown is no longer available. Target has a large selection of similar lamp bases, my favorite here.
On this next board I switched out the console table for a much more affordable option from Walmart.
As for the sofa, I could not find slip covers anywhere online that I really liked. If you want a classic slipcovered sofa, I recommend the Pottery Barn Basic Slipcovered sofa. I included a swatch of the brushed canvas slipcover fabric in walnut in the design board. I actually own this sofa (in parchment fabric) and I really love it. It’s very comfortable & the covers are all washable. It’s a classic silhouette that will never go out of style.
The gallery wall behind the TV is easy to recreate without breaking the bank. You can check out theGraphicsFairy.com, for a large selection of free vintage printables. Biodiversity Heritage Library has an endless amount of printable art work, broken down into easy to navigate categories. They have both vintage and color photos. I picked up some turtle photographs for my daughter’s room from this website. They also have sets of art to make groupings easier.
You can tour the entire Coastal Living Beach house 2012 via Kris from Driven by Decor, who was lucky enough to get there in person. The 2013 Coastal Living show house is located in Daniel Island, South Carolina. More info on that one here. The 2014 show house is located in Coronado, CA. Tours start in July. Hopefully next year they’ll choose NJ!
