How To Stamp Fabric

For making our own stamped tea towels, we tried 3 different ways.  This is the way that gave us the best results.

Curved Arrow

First, iron your tea towels.  Then fold them in half with a piece of wax paper in between the two halves to prevent paint from seeping through.

We were using a leaf stamp, so we started with green fabric paint.

Using a small artist's brush, lightly apply the fabric paint to your stamp.

Immediataly press the  painted stamp onto your fabric, using even pressure.

Each time you apply paint, you should get 1-2 stamp presses from it.  We stamped our towels in a random pattern.

Using a smaller stamp, we stamped another towel making an all-over pattern.
