To create the garland over the mantel, we started with grapevine. We attached one end to the center of the mantel with a nail.
To hold the bottom in place, we clamped it to the side of the mantel shelf to prevent making nail holes there.
Next we add faux leaf stems into the grapevine. We kept adding to that until it looked abundant.
To let the garland be the star, we kept the rest of the mantel decor simple with candles and a few dried gourds.
We added a little at a time until we had enough without it being too over the top.
Lastly, we took it one step further and added a few string lights to the garland.
