If you're looking for an impressive dessert that is easy to make, this coconut ambrosia is for you!

Crack open a fresh coconut by wrapping it in a towel and banging it on the ground.  This is surprisingly therapeutic!

Prepare fresh whipped cream by adding heavy cream to a mixer and let it mix until it fluffs up.

Mix sugar, ginger and water in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes to create a syrup.

Bake coconut shavings in the oven for about 10 minutes to toast.

Mix cut up fruit of your choice with the toasted coconut and ginger syrup in a large bowl.

Lastly, spoon the fruit mixture into coconut halves and top with the homemade whipped cream!  So delicious and so pretty!
