Framing Vintage Art

Creating a gallery wall using a mix of vintage and antique frames makes the look more interesting.

For vintage frames with paper packing, begin by removing the paper with a box cutter.

Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up metal holders.  If your frame has small nails holding the art, remove those.

Replace the old art with your new (or vintage!) prints.

Use a dispenser with double sided sticky tape and run it around the back of your frame.

Cut a piece of brown paper to size and place it on the back of your frame.

Secure the edges with kraft tape. Add a sawtooth hanger on the back if hanging hardware is needed.

Optional final step:  Add bumper dots to the back of your frame to protect walls from scratches.

These few easy steps will give you the look of professionally framed art!
