Our bathroom has only one small window that was rather plain and boring so I set out to give it an update without any renovations.
I started with this small, lightweight little window I found at a flea market for $20.
I planned to hang it in front of the existing window using screw eye hooks and beaded chains.
First I used antique gold Rub 'n Buff on the hardware so that it would better match the gold in the little window..
I screwed the hooks into the window frame and used the beaded chain to attach the window to the hooks. The beads are easily cut if they need trimming.
This looked adorable on its own, but I felt it needed a little something more.
Next I added a linen cafe curtain to the bottom half of the window for privacy. The pinch pleats give it a custom look.
I hung the cafe curtain using an inexpensive tension rod and round curtain clips.
