Nothing beats the character of an antique piece of furniture. But often after purchasing you will need to give it a good cleaning and deodorizing.
A simple homemade solution will both clean and deodorize antique wood. Mix equal parts: -warm water -white vinegar -dish soap
We used reusable microfiber cloths to apply the solution to our desk.
Always start on an inconspicuous area of your piece to be sure it doesn't damage or discolor it.
Apply the solution with the cloth and dry it with a second microfiber cloth.
Our antique piece went from slightly sticky and musty to squeaky clean and odorless!
