Creating an edge around trees and flower beds is easier than you might think - no power tools required!
All you need is an edger tool. Very similar to a garden shovel but the bottom is designed specifically for edging.
Push the edger straight down into the ground where you want your border to be. Loosen up the area a bit and then remove the edger.
Flip the edger around and repeat this step. You want to create a divet.
After creating the divet, scoop out the area. You can see here that we created a curved pattern around our arborvitaes.
Continue that pattern all the way around your trees or flower beds. It took me less than 30 minutes to do the whole length of trees here.
When done, add fresh black mulch for a finished look! It's that easy!
