Turning a plain dorm room into a cozy retreat can be done on a budget and in one day with a little planning ahead.
The desk couldn't be changed, so we added a fun pink chair and a few accessories.
A canopy was created over the bed by suspending a curtain rod from the ceiling and another at the top of the wall.
A decorative planter was hung above the bed to mimic a chandelier.
There wasn't room for an end table and not much storage for books. Stacking them on the side of the bed fixed both issues.
