How To Paint Linoleum Floors

GOT OUTDATED LINOLEUM?

If you have outdated linoleum but aren't in the market to upgrade just yet, did you know you can paint them?  It's a budget-friendly way to get a whole new look!

CUTTING IN

Using durable porch & patio paint, we first cut in around the edges of the kitchen just as if you were painting a wall.

BASE COAT

Using an extension pole, fill in the rest of the floors with the porch paint.  This will be your base coat.

APPLYING THE PATTERN

After testing our stencil with both a paintbrush and a paint sprayer, we went with the paint sprayer for applying the pattern to the floor.

GETTING A CRISP FINISH

This is our practice board, you can see what a crisp, clean line we got with the sprayer.

QUICK TIP

We did this floor using only one stencil.  Buying more than one will make this project go much quicker.
