7 Budget Before & After Makeovers
The Honeycomb Home
Before
This living room was dark and boring before. The gray sofa and black tables added to the heaviness.
After
The walls were lightened up with a soft paint color & the furniture was replaced with neutral shades. A fun DIY chandelier finishes it off. No major construction, just simple changes for a dramatic difference!
Before
This small, builder-grade kitchen had far too much oak wood happening. It made the room feel dark and smaller than it is.
After
The cabinets were painted and extended to the ceiling using inexpensive cabinets found at Habitat for Humanity. A white backsplash and a white table further lightened it up.
Before
This room was a very plain, basic bedroom in a dorm apartment.
Inexpensive curtains hung on the wall created a canopy over the bed. A stack of books for a makeshift nightstand and a fun beaded faux chandelier was hung over the bed.
After
Before
A basic builder grade half bath with stock oak vanity and plain medicine cabinet above.
After
The medicine cabinet was replaced with an inexpensive mirror, the vanity was repainted, and planks were added to the walls. The floors were a fun makeover using floor stickers!
Before
Builder grade carpet and a TV stand that wasn't to scale with the TV left this living room looking pretty sad.
After
New vinyl plank flooring was installed DIY style and a console table was added under the TV to better balance the wall. A few new accessories were also added to complete this TV wall.
Before
This teen's bedroom had not grown with her and was in need of a more mature look.
After
A new headboard, fresh paint and an overall neutral color scheme create a more classic look that won't soon be outgrown.
