Summer Entry Porch
Hi guys! Summer is in full swing over here. We are trying to make the most of the summer weather while also keeping up with the usual responsibilities. I spent some time over the weekend arranging (and rearranging) my front entry porch for the season.
It’s a really small porch so I try to make the most of it without letting it get too cluttered. You really have to edit what you have in smaller spaces. I recently made the welcome sign shown, I will share the how-to on that soon.
My outdoor pillows are a few years old and they still look new. I love the blue and green combo for summer. My hydrangeas are in full bloom so I’ve been getting some beautiful cuttings from those, as you can see in the basket below.
While I was snapping a few pictures out here, my friend Curtis appeared. He is a stray that’s been around here for over a year.
Isn’t he cute? I’d adopt him but we are at full capacity with pets in our house. If anyone is interested in adopting him, and you live in the NJ area, let me know!
I added some parsley (leftover from my herb garden) to my green flower pot as a filler this year. Multi-functional is also important in smaller spaces.
Here’s a close up of my hydrangea basket.
One of my best friends stopped by this weekend to help me out with tiling my niece’s kitchen (which came out great, can’t wait to share!) and she also brought me this amazing vintage milk can. Shout out to the scrapper, Gus, for finding that one for me!
I’m sharing my summer entry porch as part of the new series, Room by Room, hosted by Amy from My Life from Home. Each week this summer we will be sharing a different part of our home.

I would love to hang out on your porch with a glass of lemonade or wine! Your hydrangeas look beautiful – mine have no blooms yet and I’m getting restless for some!
Your porch looks so inviting! Mine is about the same size. I might have to “borrow” some of your ideas! I wish I lived close enough to give Curtis a home. He’s adorable. And I love the chippy milk can! Happy Summer!
Very pretty Roxanne! Your cat is so adorable to!
I love how private your porch seems – so much greenery to enjoy! And that milk can is beautiful!
Best,
Kelly
I love your porch – it looks carefree and peaceful – perfect for summer! I’ve not had any blooms on my hydrangeas either. I’m so jealous of those of you who do!
Wish I was closer to stop by the porch – it’s so welcoming! I love your hydrangeas, lucky you to have so many!
Roxanne – your porch is fabulous! Love your beautiful hydrangeas and new milk can. The patina and color are perfection.
You have such a lovely porch entry! Those hydrangeas are perfection and the whole scene is so welcoming!
I am so jealous of your front porch, even if it’s small. I would love a porch. I love you pillows and that turquoise rusted milk can is dreamy!
