New Blog Design and a Giveaway!

 

 

Hello! As a few of you have noticed, I recently updated my blog with a new theme. I spent a lot of time deciding which theme to go with. I wanted to keep it really simple, yet still somewhat professionally done. As a new blogger, I really wasn’t sure what my future needs will be in terms of design.

After reaching out to a few blog designers with 1,001 questions, I ended up choosing Theme Fashion. I found them through Etsy. I worked with Bilal, who was quick to respond to all of my questions. He had many good designs to choose from. I picked the “Spectacular” theme.

This one looked clean and simple and was only $30. It is a responsive theme, which I thought meant it would adjust in size to whichever device it was being viewed on. However,  I found out it means the sidebar items actually are viewed below the content on mobile devices. I really didn’t like that, so Bilal removed that feature for me. I also bought some add-ons, such as installing the theme, color change, and setting up the social media icons. These 3 things added another $30. I’m sure I could’ve figured out how to do them all myself but for $30 it was well worth the time it would have taken me to figure it all out.

Once it was installed (within a day of purchase) and I viewed it, I thought the font was really too small. Bilal quickly changed this for me as well. We emailed back and forth for about a week tweaking the design to my preferences. I am happy with the results and would highly recommend working with Theme Fashion. Bilal offers extraordinary customer service.
