Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

I just wanted to pop in today with a short end-of-the-year post. Can you believe 2021 has gone by so quickly?

I think many of the challenges from 2020 rolled right on into this year. But from challenges we become stronger and more resilient, don’t we?

Often, the holidays can be a trying time for many. Wherever you are at this year, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining me here on this little journey!

Working on home decor and DIY is really my happy place! Knowing that you guys enjoy it always gives me the incentive to keep sharing here. And speaking of happiness, our Christmas tree was chosen as a finalist by Cottages and Bungalows magazine this year! That was an amazing surprise for me!

Ours was selected along with 23 others. It’s a contest open for voting and the winner gets a feature in the magazine next year. If you have a minute to stop by and vote I’d really appreciate it! And please share with your friends!

I’ll be signing off from the blog for the rest of this year to enjoy the season. As many of you know, my husband has had an unbelievable battle with Covid that led to many complications. He’s doing better now but will need one more surgery in January. If all goes well, that will be the last hurdle to a full recovery, finally! I share more about that and post his recovery updates on my Instagram page. My husband and I are seriously considering writing a book about the whole experience because every day was more shocking and unbelievable than the last.

Due to all that, my posting may be sporadic but as I said this is my happy place and I already have a few things planned for January so I’ll definitely be here as much as I can! I hope you will be too! 🙂
